Overview

Technically, Gibson's first "reissue" guitar came as early as 1968 with this reboot of the '56 Les Paul model. While they were actually quite popular, the sale of Gibson to Norlin brought in a different strategy, and this model was replaced by the Les Paul Deluxe around the middle of 1969.
