Thank you for checking out our USED Epiphone EJ-200SCE Acoustic Electric Guitar with aftermarket hard shell case. This guitar is in excellent condition with minimal play wear and no cosmetic blemishes. Please see the photos. The Epiphone EJ-200SCE pushes the "King of the Flat Tops," into the future with a spectacular cutaway for total upper fret access plus the eSonic2 preamp system. Originally introduced in 1937, the J-200 style set a standard for guitar excellence that others have been trying to match ever since. Today—over 70 years later—the legacy of the "King of the Flat-tops" lives on in the Epiphone EJ-200SCE. The EJ-200 style is simply the world’s most famous acoustic guitar, known equally for its majestic look and focused, complex sound. When the EJ-200 was first introduced, it immediately filled a need for a deeper, more balanced and powerful acoustic instrument that could project over stage and radio. The J-200 was a radical new design, bigger and bolder than any previous guitar, capable of projecting well beyond that of any other acoustic on the market—a fact that still holds true today with the EJ-200CE. Every great rhythm guitarist and singer of the last century made the J-200 their primary acoustic instrument on stage (and for record covers, too) including Don Everly, Bob Dylan, Robbie Robertson, Emmylou Harris, Elvis Presley, Gram Parsons, Buddy Holly, and Pete Townshend. The EJ-200CE gives you everything great from this iconic and historic guitar without the headaches or the price tag of an original plus a modern pickup system so you can be heard anywhere. The Epiphone EJ-200SCE's classic shape is made with a Solid Spruce top with select maple, back and sides and a striking cutaway for total fret access. Epiphone's famous SlimTaper select maple neck joins the body at the 14th fret and has a 25.5" scale. The rosewood fingerboard has vintage style pearloid crown inlays and a 1.68" nut along with the iconic Sloped Dovewing Epiphone headstock with premium die-cast gold 14:1 tuners. The tone from the EJ-200SCE's select maple top is enhanced by the classic rosewood "mustache" bridge and synthetic bone saddle. A tortoise style pickguard helps round-out the EJ-200SCE's iconic look which even from far away, tells everyone that you're playing the King of the Flat-tops. One of the EJ-200SCE's most outstanding qualities on stage and in the studio is its strong yet balanced tone which makes rhythm guitarists as well as singers feel like they're being backed up by a band even when they're playing solo. The rich and complex tones of the EJ-200 truly will inspire musicians everywhere over and over again. The Epiphone EJ-200SCE also includes the Epiphone eSonic2 preamp system. Made in cooperation with Shadow Germany, the eSonic2 preamp features a built-in, easy-to-use tuner. When engaged, the guitar’s output is automatically muted with no "popping" noise, making it a perfect choice for stage use. You can even push in the "tuner" button and unplug the guitar without a loud “pop.” Other controls on this state-of-the-art preamp include Master Volume, NanoFlex Tone, NanoMag Tone, Stereo Blend, Low Battery indicator and a Phase switch to help eliminate unwanted feedback. The preamp uses two 2032 lithium watch batteries that are not only lightweight, but provide significantly longer life than old-fashioned, heavy 9V batteries. Under the Epiphone EJ-200SCE's compensated saddle, is Shadow's proprietary NanoFlex, low-impedance pickup. Unlike a piezo, the unique flexible sensing material features integrated active electronics that not only picks string vibration but also top and body vibrations as well for a truly acoustic tone without the harshness of piezos. Complimenting the NanoFlex is the revolutionary NanoMag pickup mounted at the harmonic-rich end of the fingerboard. Exclusively from Shadow, the NanoMag features 3 Samarian-Cobalt magnets and an integrated active circuit to capture all the highs and lows, including a wide range of harmonics. With your choice of either 1/4" mono output blending both pickups or 1/4" stereo output splitting the two pickups, you have incredible flexibility and opportunities to create the perfect acoustic tone live! Epiphone's hardware has always been the best in the business and the EJ-200SCE is no exception. The new jumbo king features gold Grover tuners and gold screws on the traditional “bell” style truss rod cover. Case not included.
