So the story goes... The previous owner lived in Texas and stored his 1967 Fender Bassman in the basement. Along came a flood that damaged the original 2x12 cabinet. The Fender/Jensen C12NA speakers were removed and put into these custom 1x12 cabinets.
These are the original 12" 8Ω C12NA speakers found in 60's blackface amplifiers (Twin Reverb, Pro Reverb, and Bassman). They still have the original cone that are in excellent condition and have plenty of life.
The cabinets are nearly the same dimensions as a Deluxe Reverb at 26" wide x 20.75" high x 11.25" deep. If you were to see these in person, you'd swear the cabinets were originally made by Fender's Custom Shop. The wood work, handles, corner caps, and tolex are excellent. One cabinet has an extension jack.
How do they sound? Slight scoop in the mid-range, brilliant highs that aren't piercing at all, and a wonderful bottom end. Blackface amplifiers in general are incredibly versatile and the speakers are no exception. You don't have to crank the volume to get them to really sing, either- these will work great with a very low-watt amp all the way up to 100 watts. $599 is for BOTH cabinets
INCLUDED - 2 logo badges (for copyright reasons I cannot have them actually attached to the cabinet. You are welcome to do with them as you please) and 2 high-quality 20' speaker cables.
