A really cool 1966 Conrad Model 1246 Bass Guitar in great shape with the original Soft Shell Case! This is a full scale 34 inch bass and it looks great!

If you follow my shop at all, you know I sell a lot of the Conrad Baritone Guitars. My customers love them. This is the Bass Guitar model. They only made it for two years in 1966 and 1967. If any of my Baritone cutomers see this bass, I’ll bet they will grab to have to have both the baritone and bass guitars from Conrad.
Conrad Guitars were Japanese made by the Matsumoku Company. It is said they had on of the finest wood factories in Japan. Matsumoku in Japanese means Woodworking plant.. They made very high quality guitars in the 1960’s branded with not only Conrad but also Aria, Blackstone, Crown, Greco, Kingston, Maxitone, Univox and Ventura! All well respected brands from Japan.
Lets review whats original on this one....
It has the original Neck, Conrad Raised Logo, Head Stock, Tuners, Tuner grommets, nut, body, both Original Pickups, Fully adjustable bridge, Bridge Cover, those are always missing, knobs, Switches, Thumb rest and Pickguard ......Whoa!!
Now lets see whats not original...
Nothing!!
Our tech did a great job with this one.....He worked on the neck to give it really nice playing action . It has some relief to the neck and the truss rod works... The neck is great...a full 1 3/4 inch at the nut.. the scale length is 34 inchs .. its lots of fun..it looks great.......This Bass guitar is ready to rock for another 50 Years!! ..
Conrads and Blackstones are the Cadillacs of the Made in Japan Teiscos...very high quality parts and finishes.....the guitar is in great shape but still has dings and scratches..this one is in great shape! Just cosmetic dings and scratches as expected on 1960's vintage guitars. See pics....
Check out the original soft shell case. The guitar fits in great. All latches, hinges and original handle are still with it. The back middle hinge has come loose. I’ll let the new owner deal with that…. Nice case for your cool bass guitar!
.....Now this guitar is beautiful but its used and sold as-is no returns..however...I have been hand picking my customers guitars for over 20 years now and they all loved the guitars I found them ...This cool Conrad Bass will certainly not be an exception...
