2008 Larry Brown F Mandolin, Maple/Spruce

A livewire F model from our own Larry Brown! This mando comes to us from 2008, and has opened up sweetly in the intervening years. Classic combo of Maple & Spruce, with a 1 1/8” nut, makes for a powerhouse Bluegrass instrument. The chop town has a round flavor that sets this mandolin apart from shriller F models, and the unwound string also have a warm quality to them that’s easy on the ears. Weighing in at a little over two pounds, this Larry Brown mandolin is an easy player, and it’s only going to sound better with time.
