Handmade Dread Guitar. Great Alternative to Martin, Taylor, Collings . [Finland, Olaf Loef] Google his site.
The side, back and neck is Khaya Mahogany, "African Mahogany" .
Spruce top is European "Picea Abies", from the little town in South Tirol (Italy) Anterselva di Mezzo. Loef visited the woodshop of Rudolf Bachmann and purchased some tops.
Mahogany binding on the body; wood purfling (blue, dark red, blue); small wood rosette; Ebony fretboard with abalone dot inlay; Ebony peghead overlay; polished (glossy) Ebony bridge; bone saddle.
Scale 650mm / 14 fret. 45mm wide. 1-3/4" nut width; 2-3/16" string spacing at the saddle.
“the Stani Guitar is actually made in the same mold as my OM/D Guitars. In earlier years I sometimes mentioned this shape as "D" because of the simple reason, the name "OM/D" felt a little "clumsy". Old "D" is the same as today "OM/D". The inner "volume" is big like a Dread but the shape is feminine as a OM.”
