MOSRITE “VENTURES” BASS.

THE LAST GUITAR BUILT BY SEMIE MOSELEY IN 1991/1992 BEFORE HIS DEATH IN AUGUST, 1992

THE RAREST MOSRITE GUITAR IN THE WORLD.

ABSOLUTELY ONE OF A KIND.

THERE IS NO OTHER MOSRITE LIKE THIS ONE IN EXISTENCE. GUARANTEED.

ABOUT THE INSTRUMENT:

This is taken from an email sent to us by Mr. Andy Moseley, “Mr. Mosrite II”:

“HELLO. YOU ARE LOOKING AT A ONE OF A KIND BASS BY MOSRITE. This was made for my son "RANDY" Moseley. My name is Andy Moseley and I worked with my brother Semie for years building one of the world’s best electric guitars -MOSRITE-I am sorry to tell you but my son was short of money one time and sold this bass to help his family. Andy Moseley----1-23-09”. (Thank you Mr. Moseley for your kind assistance and our best wishes for your good health.)

This is further evidenced by the Serial Number of this guitar: RANDY.

Also, it is handwritten on the shop ticket “Built for Randy Moseley” and signed by Semie showing that Semie signed off on the “Finish”, “Hardware”, “Set-Up”, “Test”, and “Approved By” (the shop ticket was left over from his days prior to 1991 spent at the famous Jonas Ridge, N.C. factory.)

When I bought this guitar, I was told that it was NOS (New Old Stock). I believed it because I could not, and still cannot, find any sign of wear on it or indications that it has even been played. The case is certainly original. It does have a few smudges and dings from handling.

As all MOSRITE fans know, Mr. Semie Moseley (he deserves to be called Mr. as does his brother, Mr. Andy Moseley) moved back to Booneville, ARK in 1991 and again started making guitars. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with bone cancer soon after returning to AK and died in August, 1992 less than six weeks after the diagnosis. For those of us who truly love MOSRITE guitars, that was the day “the guitar died”.

I am offering this EXTREMELY RARE, ONE OF A KIND MOSRITE for sale at a price that is certainly fair in my opinion. I am a serious collector of guitars (now owning over 1200+ pieces) and have an enviable ability to identify those instruments that qualify as true investment opportunities. This is one of those opportunities. And if you are the world’s largest MOSRITE COLLECTOR, now you know that your collection has a hole in it where this guitar must go to make it complete.

Due to the high value of this transaction, we will either pay the airfare for the Buyer to come to our location to inspect the guitar and pay for it or we can arrange to bring it to the Buyer for inspection and payment within the continental United States.

Please contact me directly for more information about this rare iconic instrument or for additional photos.

This is a stunning guitar. Due to the rarity of this guitar, I cannot provide my usual 3 day try out period. That’s why I would like the buyer, or his/her representative to receive, and accept, the guitar in person, from me.

SHIPPING IS FREE TO ANY US CONTINENTAL LOCATION. BUYERS OUTSIDE THAT AREA MUST CONTACT ME FOR A SHIPPING COST PRIOR TO BUYING IT.
