Hello All,
This is my first sale on Reverb. I am somewhat new to this auction site with more than a decade of sales and purchases on Ebay. Ebay is where I actually purchased this guitar about 12 years ago. My handle on Ebay is moshitojinx (if you want to check me out).
This Artist model is in good condition for it's age. I had my wife take the best photos she could with her camera to show detailed pics of it's beauty and flaws. Overall, she is in good shape. there are a few dings and dents, but mostly on the sides and back which are not very obvious when looking at the front.
There is a very skinny crack on the neck joint. It was like this when I purchased it. I suspect being in the original case that became worn throughout the years letting the headstock move around in the case. I took it to two guitar techs in the past. Both asked if the crack has gotten any worse while I had it; it hasn't. They said not to worry about it and to play the guitar. They said it is repairable if desired, and that they would have to inject glue with a needle into the crack and clamp it. I decided to leave well enough alone. I installed the bungee a while ago which keeps the guitar in place while in the case.
The pickups are not original. The neck pickup is a Dimarzio I believe. I had a tech install the Schaller bridge along with the Seymour Duncan bridge pickup shortly after I purchased it. I do have the Kramer bridge which will be included in the sale. I do not have the original pickup bezel. The tuning pegs are Schaller and are original I believe.
Please let me know if you have questions, and thanks for looking. I will ship insured and request only US sales (no Alaska, or Hawaii please). I am not interested in trades at the moment. I have been collecting guitar related equipment for almost 30 years, and I have more than I need, or want at this point.
** Update - I took the guitar to a Luthier in the area within the past week” Hans of Born Again Guitars reassured me that the crack is not a structural issue and is not worth repairing at the moment. He felt it is cosmetic. I am reducing the price to help pay for my wood working hobby, and to clear much needed space in our home to allow our 5 year-old room to grow and play (my gear is in his play room at the moment). I’ll try to upload more photos this weekend as I have quite a bit of interest in this listing.**
