The 44a was the first of the 44 series, some say it's the best.

Stephen Sank at Talking Dog Transducers tested the transformer independent of the ribbon motor and pronounced it healthy.  He then replaced the cable with some top quality old stock cable, and crafted a new ribbon for it.  He also replaced the cloth inside the grill.  This service was performed in 2018 and the mic has been safely kept since then.

All the hardware and mounts are present and operational.  I think this is a very special mic and hope it goes to someone who appreciates and uses it!  Thanks.   The high shipping cost reflects the fact that it costs $33 to ship and $50 to insure. I can knock $50 off if you are willing to forgo insurance.

The mic will be lovingly packed so as to arrive safely, and I'll ship the same day if you buy early enough.  I definitely do not want to accept returns on this item, so please plan on keeping it if you bid.  We'll have to calculate international shipping if someone out of the USA wishes to buy.

Canadian shipping is $83 not including insurance.

Thanks!
