This is a Kramer body which was purchased in 1990/91 at the Kramer Factory Closing Sale. It is a beautiful beast weighing in at roughly 8.5 lbs. I was very much into heavy guitars at the time (and I still am). It is incredibly solid as you can imagine at this weight. It is a player's guitar. I have played it over the years with ESP and Kramer necks.
The Serial Number (on the NeckPlate) is D1523 which makes it a Mid 1984 - 1986 according to vintagekramer dot com. Since the D Series ran from from D0000 to D9999 it is probably an 1984 / 1985.
This is the original Custom Paint/Finish the guitar was purchased with. It seems to be one of a kind.
The body has dings and scratches. I took several photos (with and without flash) for inspection.
The electronics cavity was sprayed with a black Grounding Spray in NYC upstairs at W 48th Custom Guitars.
I sanded and rounded the bottom corner of the body at the Neckplate where the neck meets the body. It is a modification that makes it extremely comfortable to sling the guitar very low and access the highest frets.
The back cavity of the guitar (under where the Floyd Rose Springs would sit) has small screw holes as I had attached a custom block to make the Floyd Rose 'stationary' (as in you could only lower the pitch, not 'pull up' on the Floyd)
I am selling it with the following items/hardware: the two screws that hold the Floyd Rose Tremelo, the 'claw' (used to connect to Floyd Rose Tremelo System springs), the output jack, Schaller/Fender Strap Locks (I have used both Schaller and Fender strap locks as they are interchangeable, I think these are Schaller), the Neckplate and Neckplate Screws, the Electronic's Cavity Cover and associated 4 screws.
Please contact me with any questions, requests, offers.
