Klira Triumphator Ohio guitar ~1965 white tolex cover - made in Germany

Beautiful Klira Triumphator Ohio solidbody guitar, made in the mid 1960s in West Germany. The guitar is covered with a white vinyl (underneath is a basswood body). Triumphator was the label of German shopping mall "Quelle".

 Construction

Light weight basswood body, all covered with white (now creamy) vinyl. Presumably maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, black finish. Two single coils, not unlike goldfoils, with tone selector switch and volume poti. The neck has vintage frets and a more flat radius than a vintage F-style American guitar.

 Sound & Handling

The guitar plays well with a low string action, I find it a breeze to play and highly enjoyable bold and nice loud single coil twang. 

If you play indie, garage, proto punk, fuzzy stuff, or raunchy low fi blues, this is for you. Think Jack White, Black Keys, or the likes.  

Condition, Flaws and Restoration

The guitar is in a very good, yet used condition with a some of the typical scratches, dings and dongs (see pictures). 

Frets are fine with few and little dents. The neck is straight and can be set with the truss rod, the tuners are new. Two of the poti knobs have been replaced. 

Of course it is all cleaned, polished and oiled as usual.
