About This Listing

Iconic Dreadnought Shape With Killer Hummingbird Graphics
The Hummingbird acoustic-electric guitar has long stood out in the Gibson and Epiphone lineups as a favorite of strummers and singer/songwriters. With the Hummingbird Pro, Epiphone has updated this iconic model with a slimmer neck and a Fishman Sonitone preamp system -- covering any need a modern songsmith might have.

Mahogany Body, Topped Off With Spruce
The tonal characteristics of the Hummingbird Pro start at the top -- its Sitka spruce top, that is. Spruce is known for its clear response even through hard strumming or picking -- good for players who really "dig into" their songs. On the Hummingbird Pro, the top is complemented by mahogany back and sides, which help add definition to the low end. The guitar's neck is also mahogany, carved in a SlimTaper "D" profile for a more modern feel. The pau ferro fretboard is adorned with the iconic pearloid parallelogram inlays, and the neck is joined to the body with a glued-in dovetail joint, making for a strong, resonant bond.

Distinctive Features are More Than Decor
Most people know the Hummingbird for its blush-red finish and signature pickguard graphic. Epiphone's Hummingbird Pro model sweetens the deal with several high-end features. The top is wrapped in five-ply white binding, with one-ply binding around the back and fretboard. The reverse belly bridge helps stabilize intonation and action with a compensated saddle. Finally, the nickel Grover tuners help keep you in tune through hours upon hours of strumming.
