2011 Ovation 1617 ALE-1  #4 of only 50 made!

I love Ovation guitars because they look, play and sound good, but I also love them because you can buy a super fancy Ovation (as this 1617 ALE-1) at a fraction of the price of a Martin or Collings: they bring an awesome value for money.

1617ALE-1 is the second Limited Edition model for 2012 and it comes with a solid Adirondack spruce top. ALE stands for Adirondack Limited Edition, and this ALE guitar delivers unparalleled in both unplugged and plugged-in modes of play. The bowl which makes the rest of the body is deep with rounded contour. The body has a dreadnought shape, but is slightly smaller than a full-sized dreadnought. Nevertheless, 1617ALE-1 delivers the punch of a full-sized dreadnought or jumbo guitar. The top is flat and features a single, centered round sound hole with an ornate rosette. Two tone sunburst is the only color option available for this Limited Edition model, of which only fifty will be made. The bridge is made of deluxe class of ebony and it features a standard Ovation shape and construction. In the electronics department there is an Ovation Low Profile under-saddle pickup and, also Ovation, OP Pro preamp with on-board controls. Control panel has volume, bass, treble, expression, drive and gain controls and a chromatic tuner with an LED display. The fingerboard on this model is made of top shelf ebony and equipped with 20 frets and abalone infinity inlays. 25-1/4" scale, gold hardware and Ovation tuners complete the specs for 1617ALE-1.

A beautiful and fancy Legend, that can be considered one of the last iconic guitars made in New Harford by the original team of luthiers.

I love this guitar but must sell to pay for other projects.
