I’m selling my original 1993 Fender American Standard Longhorn Jazz Bass in the super rare original special order color of Carribean Mist metallic. Fender did a few of the "specials" in this color in the 90's, but very few in the american standard. This is the “Longhorn” version or fondly named the "Boner bass" by bassists. This is because from 1991-1993 Fender made the top horn of the body extra long. And thus the wang terminology. It is the same in every other way as a normal JB except the balance is better.
This superb playing Jazz is the tried and true version with a maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. Frets are superb with hardly any wear at all. The neck is straight as an arrow with a low action and it darn near plays itself
This bass is original in every way except the neck volume pot was changed out due to a short and replaced with a period correct new CTS pot. Original pickups, tuners and everything. In excellent conition. Listed it as very good condition to be safe because of some minor chipping on the end of the headstock as shown in the photos and very tiny dings here and there as is typical on a 26 year old bass that has been played. Really looks better in person.
Comes with an excellent condition Fender 60's American reissue hard case worth over $100 by itself. I have included pics of the end of the neck and body neck pocket so you can see the matching original dates and that the color is original.
