The R3-147 is Motion Sound's effort to use real rotating speaker technology to acheive a Leslie Emulation, and they succeeded quite well. Isolated within a 4 rack space enclosure is a real rotating horn powered by a low wattage amp. The sound is captured by four mics - two near mics and 2 distant mics - then combined with a lower rotor simulator and passed through a 12AX7 pre-amp tube to add genuine tube distortion. The unit also offers a generous amount of adjustable parameters to customize your sound including: dual inputs, effects loop, pre & post gain controls, contour/blend, close/distant mic placement controls, and comes with a heavy duty metal footswitch to select between slow, fast, and brake. It also includes a midi in jack in the rear which allows switching between speeds using midi controller data. It has two sets of audio outs - one set on 1/4 inch and another XLR balanced. (Power cord is included.) Unit is clean and well cared for, and will be shipped with great care. **The status LED for the lower rotor no longer flashes, but unit works fine and sounds great!**
