Faith Guitars... based out of the United Kingdom... is the designed result of the renown luthier Patrick James Eggle. Once you handle one of these pieces of art... you instantly know why it has been the Winner of UK's Best Acoustic Guitar for four years straight. The selling high-light of Faith guitars is... you no longer have to ask the FAQ... is it solid wood? None of the Faith Guitars are constructed using laminates. The fit and finish and tonal sounds you experience is nothing quite like you've experienced before. I became acquainted with this line, and their host Distributors at Connolly Music at the Nashville NAMM show this year. I just could not get these guitars off of my mind... and I had to take the plunge and apply for a Dealership. Faith takes the neat but unusual idea of naming their guitar lines after the Planets. Associating the planet size with the size of the guitar body... ie: Mercury (the smallest planet=the Parlor size... Saturn (the larger planet=the Dreadnought & etc. The Neptune line represents what they call the Mini Jumbo sized body. It is very comfortable, responsive and quite loud. Not only is this guitar all solid wood, it has some nice and special features usually found on more expensive guitars... one of which is my favorite... flamed Maple binding. It also has a Rosewood neck heel plate. The Rosewood used in the sides and back is high-figured and beautiful. The Abalone soundhole Rosette is quite eye-catching. They didn't skimp on the tuning machine heads as they chose the Grover Rotomatics-Gold to accent with the other gold hardware. The bridge pins are beautiful as they used the Indian Ebony with abalone inlay dots. The case is one of the most plush that I've seen in a while, and well constructed. The Shadow Nanoflex II pickup is quite amazing coupled with the Shadow Performer Tuner and pre-amp. Then they even top it all off with a Certificate of Authenticity from Faith. This Model is constructed of Solid Trembesi wood for the sides and back. In the words from the designer himself, he gives an explanation of this beautiful wood... "Indiginous to Indonesia, the beautifully grained Trembesi wood sits comfortably between the tonal offerings of Mahogany and Rosewood. The resulting sound is remarkably loud and responsive with evenly balanced harmonics".
