I absolutely love Sonor drums and have played them many times over the course of my career, as far back as touring in the mid 70s with a Sonor rosewood tear-drop lug kit. The quality is always superb and the drums always sound amazing. I ordered this SQ2 set which is 8x12, 14x14, and 14x18. These are the vintage maple shells and the finish is a very cool pale green with flecks in it. It reminds me in a way of ‘sea foam green’. I played this kit out of the box with the stock heads, so the bass drum has the Sonor equivalent of a Powerstroke. This 18” bass drum sounds huge, and the tuning range of the entire kit makes it work well from traditional bop tuning down to rock tuning. Contact me for our Black Friday sale price on this set.
