Duluth Brass Cast Bell Bronze Snare 6.5x14 w/TAMA Hardware Raw

For sale is a new custom build snare drum project I just completed. It is a 6.5x14 cast bell bronze made by Duluth Brass Manufacturing (who made the famous Ocheltree drums, and makes for current builders like Cherry Hill, Savage Custom Drum’s, etc.).

I designed the shell and edges to original and rare 80’s TAMA Bell Brass specs that were found on the original Terminator snare drum.

It is a 5mm thick cast Treebronze shell (not aluminum bronze), with sharp 45 degree edges and beds. The hardware consists of original 1980’s TAMA Superstar lugs and die-cast hoops. It is fitted with the new dual adjustment TAMA throw off and but plate, Canopus Backbeat snare wires and snare belts, all tension rods are outfitted with Canopus Bolt Tight washers, and new Evans Coated G1 batter/Hazy 200 heads (not the Remo heads pictured).

The shell finish is raw bronze so that it will naturally patina over time as the original TAMA drums did. As such, the shell does show mild patina developing, and any surface finishing marks that occur from being cast in the mold were not covered up. It gives the drum an awesome distressed look. The vintage TAMA hardware is in great condition for the age, but does have some scratches and marks. It goes along with the natural distressed look. All hardware is 100% in working order.

Most builders and people are selling these drums for $1299-4000. I’ve priced this drum at $1100 + shipping.
