S.D. Curlee basses and guitars was founded by three men Sonny Storbeck, Randy Dritz and Randy Curlee around 1975 in Randy Curlee's Matteson Illinois music store.
The name S.D Curlee came from the three original designers, Sonny (Storbeck), Randy (Dritz) and Randy (Curlee.). These were truly handmade instruments.
