Genuine Hofner HCT-1133R Icon and Contemporary Bass Round Wound Strings - Short (30”) Scale - This is the round wound string set with "green silk" that comes factory installed on Hofner Contemporary Basses. The strings are the custom manufactured for Hofner in the Orient. The gauges of the strings are:
G - .040, D - .060, A - .075, E - .095
These strings are designed for short scale basses (30 inch scale) such as the Ignition and Contemporary Hofner Beatle Basses, and are not long enough for full scale basses. A customer has reported to North Coast Music that the barrel ends of these strings are too large to work in the German Hofner tail piece used on the V61, V62, V63, V64, Deluxe or Club Basses.
There are no warranties, exchanges, or returns on string sales. We do not offer replacements for strings that break either prematurely or upon installation, nor do we provide replacements for tonal issues. All strings sets are new but sold "as is."
Due to ongoing issues with lost packages and failed deliveries, North Coast Music is currently not accepting orders destined for delivery in Italy or Mexico, no exceptions.
