Player's Perspective

ESP's E-II series guitars blend the unsurpassed quality of high-end ESP models with the accessibility of the LTD line. They're immaculately built, professional-grade instruments that are ready for the stage, studio, and road.

This Eclipse in a gorgeous Blue Natural Fade over a Buckeye Burl top is the perfect metal guitar. Thanks to the simple and unbeatable combination of tonewoods and stellar electronics, the sound can be biting and raw, or smooth and rich, depending on how you dial it in. The styling is classy, understated and very metal at the same time. Perhaps the best thing about this guitar is the combination of an effortless fret-hand feel alongside rock solid build quality. It's ready to take abuse, but you barely have to move your hand to play it. We're willing to bet this axe will be in your rig for quite some time before you have to do any work on it, if ever. Great electronics and quality hardware top everything off. Perfect for the recording and gigging metal or hard rock player, this guitar can easily become your go-to axe.

Manufacturer's Description

As one of the best-looking, best-sounding, and highest quality single cutaway guitars ever made, the E-II Eclipse is made in Japan at the ESP factory, and designed for serious players who rely on their guitars for professional-caliber stage and studio work. This guitar offers a collection of top-tier components, like a bone nut, ESP strap locks, Gotoh locking tuners, and a Gotoh TOM bridge and tailpiece. Perhaps most impressive is its set of EMG 57TW/66TW set for coil splitting each active pickup with individual push-pull controls on both volume knobs. Built with set-thru construction on a mahogany body and mahogany neck, the latest version of the E-II Eclipse is available in three styles: a Burled maple top in Blue Natural Fade finish; a flamed maple top in Black Natural Burst; and a maple-capped Snow White Satin finish. All E-II Eclipse models offer high-end design features like multi-binding on the body, neck, and matching headstock, and include an ESP hardshell case.
