Alrighty... this is a pretty difficult to describe listing, soooooooo... YOU'RE gonna have to ask Me questions. I'll answer them as prompt, accurate, and as honest as I can.
This is gonna be sort of a long read. Please be patient... Here goes....

This is My first ever "rescue" mission. Plus, I had a bunch of parts sitting around here. Thennnnn... I decided to go "all out", and do a 2-4-1 listing. Yep, it was fun, time consuming, aaaaaannnnnd expensive. I can guarantee that I won't be doing this again.

I'm only allowed to post 20 pictures (which I normally do for a single instrument), per policies. Therefore, by all means, PLEASE request more, and I will send them in a message. Neck pocket, neck stamp, etc...

Anyhow, a few months ago, this 1977 Precision landed on My doorstep. It wasn't unreasonable pricewise. But... the finish had been destroyed!!! Someone seems to have spray painted her white, without even taking Her apart!!! At least they were intelligent enough to "tape off" the neck... UGH!!! Everything else was'is in pretty good shape (for the shape that it was in). Everything was there, including the tug bar, and the bridge cover. The only thing missing was the Scratch Guard. Even the original case is in very good shape. Hinges are healthy, all latches function freely, and no funky odors.

That being said... I had pretty much everything else that I needed here, in order to build another bass, except for a body. I purchased the Shell Pink one here on Reverb for 400 bucks, decided to put the 77 neck on IT, and use the lefty (JAZZ Neck) that was on My MIM fretless (and put the original fretless back on mine, since I acquired an MIJ, '75RI)  on the 77 body, purely for aesthetics. It just so happened to be a lefty, as I thought the reverse headstock was cool... You should be able to see the original listing for the body in My feedback profile. If You want an all original parts (minus the pickguard) 77, You can swap them back. I just like the looks of this better.

In an attempt to save as MUCH of the red as possible, while carefully removing the white spray paint... I decided to use black hardware, after painting it. This is My first attempt at using a spray gun to shoot Poly. It came out pretty darn OK. I bought a cheap(ish) Harbor Freight one, as I knew it would be a one time use sort of thing. The trash man has long since taken it away. Yep... more money into bass that I can't even hold correctly!!! If You feel the need to have the body wet sanded, and buffed... be My guest. There aren't any drips or such, but... it isn't as SMOOTH as a professional job. Really... I like it as is. And to be HONEST... I really think that She's one of the COOLEST looking basses EVER!!! That... "She's so ugly, that She's BEAUTIFUL" , sorta thing...

If not for My personal Relic'ing... I'd list them as VERY GOOD.

Here's a list of "what's going on" here:

Pink Bass
Body: Custom Made in California, by Real Life Relics. Alder.

Finish: Shell Pink. Hand Relic'd. Nitro.

Neck: 1977 Fender Precision. One Piece Maple. Straight, with plenty of fret life. Shows wear. Truss rod is healthy, and turns freely in both directions. The original 1977 screws were also used to install it.
   Tuning Machines: Original Fender, 1977.

Bridge: Original Fender, 1977.

Pickups/Electronics: U.S.A. Fender. Out of My 2012, American Standard Precision. She now has EMG GZR's. Cavity has been copper sheilded.
Pickguard: 3 Ply, Mint Green. Also supplied, and Relic'd by Real Life Relics.
   Strings: D'Addario XL, 45-105. New
   Volume/Tone knobs: New. Genuine Fender.
   Neckplate: Original Fender, 1977.

Ugly?/Beautiful '77 Burst:
Body: ONE Piece. Alder? Someone had SLOPPILY drilled holes in it, in a failed attempt to make it string through. I purchased a 3/8" MAPLE dowel, and plugged them.

Finish: Custom Relic by Yours Truly. Poly.
Neck: 2003, MIM Fender Jazz. Maple with EBONIZED Rosewood fretboard. Straight, with plenty of fret life. Truss rod is healthy, and turns freely in both directions.
Tuning Machines: Hipshot Ultra Lite. Black Lollipops!!! NEW. I couldn't resist. I think that they're SUPER COOL!!! You will also get the stock MIM ones.
Bridge: Gotoh, 203B-4. NEW. The barrels on this bridge are slightly larger than stock Fender, therefore... I wasn't able to get tha action as low as I LIKE. You may be OK with this, if You're looking for a Slap Machine. Otherwise... You may wanna shim the neck.
Pickups/Electronics: Original 1977. Cavity has been copper shielded.
Pickguard: Origin unknown. Purchased here on Reverb. 3 ply Black. Perfect fit. You can peel the plastic.
Strings: LaBella 760FS, Deep Talkin' Flats. 45-105. NEW.
   Volume/Tone knobs: Original 1977.
Neckplate: Aftermarket, Fender Corona, Black. NEW.

Case: Original Fender, 1977.

Original Tug Bar, Bridge cover, and strap pins will also be included.

There is "wiggle room" on these, but PLEASE... be fair (seeing as this was a fun project, but have lots of money wrapped up here, PLUS having ZERO use for them... I'm pretty motivated to recoup some "duckets"). They really do sound great. I've invested a ton of time, and quite a bit of money wrapped up in them, soooooooooooooo whoever winds up wit them... I really hope that You get years of pleasure from them. Gonna be kinda sad to see them go, as they are really My FIRST Rescues (besides My Dogs).

Continental US Shipping only. Sorry for the high rate, but it IS for 2 basses.

At this point... I'm more tired of typing, than You are of reading.

Soooo...
As ALWAYS...
