About This Listing
I’ll tell you all I know about this bass, I’d expect some questions but not sure if I can answer all of them. This is a custom bass made by a company called piano desk. They may have changed their name, not sure. I emailed the owner once and he responded when he heard I owned the bass he made. This is not a bass company from what I understood, but rather a company that took old pianos and turned them into desks? Anyways, he made one bass a year from what I understood, this is 2014. If you google “2014 piano desk bass” my bass comes up in images. I was told the wood was chosen from a tree believed to be hit by lightning and made the bass from that. Not sure if it’s bullshit or not and that’s not documented anyways, just the story. It is a sweet bass. No scratches or blemishes. Carvin electronics, select EMG pick ups set in on an angle, carvin tuners. Took it to my luthier for the once over and he thought it was very unique, 50 years building and repairing guitars and never saw anything quite like it. I bought a flight case for it and carved the foam. Send whatever questions you want if you’re seriously interested. I’ll try to answer them or find out. As far as weight it feels like about 9.5 if I had to guess.
