Beautiful 1981 Hamer Standard restored and retopped at the Hamer factory in Connecticut in 2012. Hamer decided to replace the top with a 1/4 inch highly figured top from the original thin sheet of veneer because when it was built in 1981 it had a Kahler tremolo installed and by plugging the Kahler rout, it would eventually become visible. Absolutely beautiful AAA Fiddleback/ tiger flame top with tobacco sunburst finish. I have photos of the restoration from its original green yellow burst. The pickups are DiMarzio that appear to be 70's or 80's models. the original paint job and logo on the headstock were not refinished, it is still the original finish and logo in that area. Hamer filled in the holes where the Kahler locking nut was mounted. Where they were are slightly visible but you have to be looking for them to see them. Marshall cabinet and Hiwatt head not included. I have given full disclosure on this guitar and the restoration that was done by Hamer themselves to make this the most beautiful Hamer I have ever seen in my life. There are several 4 digits here asking in excess of 12000-15000 dollars that have the bound and crowned fingerboard but many are refretted. This guitar has the original frets. This is my dream guitar and I prefer not to sell it but circumstances have made it necessary to. I wouldnt trade it for any other Hamer listed on Reverb.
