Extremely rare Hofner 182 bass guitar in excellent physical condition. Finished in red tolex giving it a real vintage mid-sixties vibe. Plays very well thanks to a recent setup and fret dressing.
Full disclosure: the electronics on this instrument need work. The pickups currently produce very low output and need to be rewound to restore original performance. Pickup rewinding generally costs about $100 per pickup. The selling price has been adjusted to account for this.
This is a short-scale bass (30 inches) same as the Hofner Beatle-bass, very light weight and easy to play. The original case is included which is structurally sound but the tolex is peeling in places.
This guitar would make a unique collectors item as is, or an interesting restoration project.
