This is a great sounding mandolin in good condition, as there are minimal signs of being 30+ years old. I would describe it as a very punchy, warm, and woody tone. It was handmade by Steve Carlson (see pics) in the early 80's.
I'm not the first owner so the tuners look to be upgraded (non-original). There are some hairline cracks on the back of the headstock that were there before I owned it that I have had professionally repaired/assessed by a luthier. I also have the letter showing the repair work that was done and verifying that it is in good condition.
Comes with strap, original case (displayed) and set of strings.
