About This Listing

Here is an early 3 bolt 1971 Stratocaster. It is a one owner guitar, having been bought as a reward for opening a music shop in 1971. The shop is still going!

The guitar is original apart from a John Birch fretboard cap, the pickup covers and some of the pick guard screws. It was fitted with a second 3 position switch (for between sounds) and the pickups were once taken out and put into another guitar but have now been reinstalled, with the secondary 3 way switch removed. Pots and switch are original (date late 1970) and the jacksocket appears original.

The guitar is in great condition for its age, although sports some playing wear in places and some corrosion to the neck plate.

The neck is straight, the action is low and it plays very well. The guitar was originally a rosewood board but the owner preferred maple. He had John Birch glue a maple cap onto the neck and refinish it. The rest of the guitar is untouched.

Free UK shipping is included.
