Bolin Bass 5 String 2002 Tiger Stripe Wine

This is a hand made 5 string bass guitar with case. Built in Boise Idaho, about 4 miles from where I live, in 2002 by John Bolin.  Bolin is known to make high-quality instruments for Mike Campbell (Tom Petty), The Rolling Stones & most frequently, ZZ Top.  Bolin made these with design input from Ned Steinberg and Steve Miller.

I didn't buy it directly from John Bolin, but I have brought it into his shop to get some of the history directly from the man himself.  Will include the original receipt dated 10-17-02 for $3097.5 as sold from a local guitar store.  It has an EMG bass pickup, Sperzel tuners, flame maple top (the I call Wine in color, but have also heard called "Cinnamon"), 24 fret ebony fingerboard, it has some signs of play, minor dings and scratches, but nothing unusual for a lightly-used but deeply loved bass -- and certainly nothing that impacts it's hand-made quality or ability to rock -- and which can mostly be seen in specific pictures added.
