Do You Want True Professional Treble Bleed?
Also Want To Get Grease Bucket Performance?
Our Upgrade Board Set Makes It Easy For You!

Get Treble Bleed and Grease Bucket Performance From Your Stratocaster

Now you can easily upgrade your Stratocaster or clone and every other electric guitar or bass that has one volume control and two tone controls. This Upgrade Board Set instantly gives you both Treble Bleed and Grease Bucket performance from your instrument.

This offer gives you one Treble Bleed upgrade and two Grease Bucket upgrades.

What Is Treble Bleed?

When the volume control on your guitar or bass is turned up to 10; your tone isn't the same as when you roll the volume back to 5 or less. When you rotate your electric guitar or bass volume control counterclockwise towards zero; you lose both volume and high end brilliance. This means your treble becomes muddier and bassier. This is a common problem. The good news is that you can easily fix it using our Treble Bleed Upgrades.

How to Install the Treble Bleed upgrade.

  • Remove the backing from the adhesive tape under your Treble Bleed circuit board. Move the three slots of the circuit board as close as possible to the volume control terminals to make physical contact; then gently press the circuit board down on the back of the volume control. The adhesive tape will hold it in place.
  • Flow solder on all three volume control terminals and your Treble Bleed circuit board slots. Just tack the connections and avoid excessive solder.
Note: if direct contact between the the circuit board slots and the volume control terminals is not possible; use insulated wires that are soldered to each volume control terminal and to the corresponding circuit board slot.

Now you can enjoy superior performance from your electric guitar or bass with this upgrade.

Do You Want A Grease Bucket Upgrade?

The tone controls of your electric guitar or bass is an adjustable low-pass filter. It let only the low frequencies pass through to the amplifier while the high frequencies get sent to ground through the tone capacitor.

A typical tone control circuit (used in a Telecaster; for example) has a  .022uF capacitor. As the tone is rolled off with a regular tone control; bass frequency becomes more prominent.

A Grease Bucket tone circuit also uses a .022uF capacitor. But it has an additional 4.7K resistor and .1uF capacitor.

It is a vastly improved tone control that combines a high-pass and a low-pass filter to let just the middle frequencies pass through to the amplifier. Basically; it stop your tone control from producing a noticeably muddy signal. This makes your instrument's tone control more useful.

Many professional guitar players now use Grease Bucket to eliminate muddiness in a distorted sound.

How to Install the Grease Bucket upgrade.

  • Clip and remove the stock capacitor on the tone control.
  • Clip the wire connected to tone control terminal #3 and connect it to the RED wire attached to the GB-Pro-1 upgrade. (tone control terminal #1) using the supplied UY2 connector. We include a UY2 connector that lets you connect the two wires using pliers.
  • Remove the backing from the adhesive tape under your Grease Bucket circuit board. Move the slots of the circuit board as close as possible to the tone control terminals to make physical contact; then press the circuit board down on the back of the tone control. The adhesive tape will hold it in place.
  • Flow solder on all three tone control terminals and your Grease Bucket circuit board slots. Just tack the connections and avoid excessive solder.
Note: if direct contact between the the circuit board slots and the tone control terminals is not possible; use insulated wires that are soldered to each tone control terminal and to the corresponding circuit board slot.
  • Connect (solder) your Grease Bucket circuit board BLACK wire to common ground.

Now you can enjoy superior performance from your electric guitar or bass with this upgrade.
