About This Listing

1995 Ehlers 16C in very good condition. Rare instrument - Rob Ehlers passed away in 2011, and didn't make a ton of guitars - Mini Jumbo shape, 16" lower bout, with cutaway spruce top (European?) with curly Koa binding, and a 3-pc Brazilian rosewood back & sides with mother-of-pearl back strips. Gold Schaller tuners with ebony buttons, Pearl dot inlays, extended fingerboard Top shows some pick wear below the sound hole (no pickguard), and the back & sides show the finish sinking into the grain a bit. There are some spiderweb finish checks on the bass side lower bout and the treble side near the sound hole. Hard to notice these looking at the instrument, but they show up at certain angles. Beautiful instrument! With deluxe hardshell case.
