Vintage Epiphone Les Paul Custom in black. I bought this a few years back in hopes it was the same one I bought and sold back in the mid 90s. It wasn't however this is exactly the way I remember the Les Paul I had.
This Epiphone is different than current models for a few reason. The first obvious and most well known about this run of Les Pauls was the Gibson-esque openbook headstock shape. This was a rarity as Epiphones later used the now well known and ugly headstock shape as to promote Gibson Les Paul purchases and likely to sidestep fakes from being created. From what I can find this only happened in the late 80s on Made in Korea models. There were Japanese versions, but the headstocks were different for that run.
Guitar is used condition with typical wear and tear for a 30+ year old guitar. Unfortunately the previous owner or someone before him tore off the paper serial number. Comes with a Gator hardcase with gold Straplocks.
Open to reasonable offers, but I won't accept any offers in the regular Epiphone price range, due to the rarity of this model, and the vintage status (yep older than 25yrs is vintage). Listen, we're all musicians here and we're all looking for a sweet deal for something worth more than we're willing to spend. If this was yours to sell, would you take that price you are offering? Let's find a happy medium.
I'm in Southern CA but will ship to anywhere in the continental US. Hawaii and Alaska and Canada please contact me prior to purchase for a shipping quote. I frequent Phoenix AZ twice a month, so in person sales are possible within San Diego and neighboring cities, and any city between San Diego and Phoenix if timed with my trips.
