I have finished recording this cab, so now it is time to send it on its way so someone else can enjoy it. Here is a 1989 ADA® T2-12C Slant Face Split Stack™ 2x12 100w Guitar Amp Cab. This cabinet includes 2 original Celestion® G12S-50™ 12 inch 16 Ohm speakers with resonance fs of 85Hz.
The speakers were engineered specifically for rack pre-amp and power amp rigs of the mid 1980s and early 1990s. When they went the way of the dinosaur, so did this cab and these speakers for ADA and Celestion, respectively. The cab sounds really good with a Fractal Audio Axe-FX II or III or a Line 6 Helix, if you have a power amp and are looking for a lightweight real cab to monitor the units through.
The cabinet is capable of focused, compelling recorded guitar tones that ranged from punk, to rock, to metal, to modern country. The cabinet loves clean tones as well as distortion drive. I purchased the well loved cabinet in August 2019 from a musician in NJ who was playing in rock cover bands but going through a divorce. His loss was our gain.
Condition is per the pictures I have posted on this site. As you can see, it even still has the original fiberglass internally attached to the back of the cab. Most pictures are watermarked to prevent people from using the photos in fraudulent listings. If it's marked Dr Bonkers, you should only be able to buy the unit from Dr Bonkers.
If you price out speakers of this make and vintage, as well as the cab of this age, you will see I am pricing this fair for a musician that wants one of these. I have priced this out of range for mere flippers by design, so if you were planning on flipping it by low balling me, keep scrolling. I will not even respond to aggressive low ball flippers.
I have this sale as local pickup. If you want to contract shipping with FedEx ground or UPS insured to your location, you will need to handle the costs and I will drop it at the carrier of your choosing with your prepaid label that you email me, post purchase. Net weight will be 45 lbs and unpacked dimensions approx 27 X 12 X 16 inches. Boxed with packaging will be slightly larger and heavier.
