Here for sale is a Memphis Guitars A2TMB from the early to mid 80s. It was made in Korea. I have researched, but found very little about this model. I am pretty sure it was either made by Samick or Matsumoku.
The body resembles a Jackson, Kramer or Ibanez shredder guitar from the 80s. Really cool aesthetic and the body, neck and finish are all in amazing shape. The finish was once blue, but has greened into this teal color over the years. You can see the deep blue original color under the truss rod cover. You may also notice that the back of the guitar (the side with the least amount of UV exposure) is still pretty blue, while the front is a lot more greenish/teal. Pretty cool to see how these guitars age!
The neck was cracked under the fretboard when I got it, but it was fairly minor, and I glued it back solid and let it cure over night. It should be stronger than before now. (see pics for picture of sealed crack.)
The pickup is HOT. Super high output. Would be great for high gain situations. I think this guitar may be short scale.
This is a SOLID little guitar. Would be great or punk/pop punk or metal; looks and sounds like a power chord machine! As always, I changed the strings, oiled the board, cleaned the electronics, polished the finish and tweaked the set up.
