This is a Purewood drum set from 2005. There were 100 made of this particular kit. Gretsch was a decade ahead of the curve on this one as walnut has become one of the most popular woods in a drummers arsenal. These drums come complete with the Gretsch arms to mount the toms and floor toms to stands. The kit features 6 ply walnut shells, Die cast hoops and the famed Gretsch silver sealer. This was primarily a studio kit so it was taken great care of. The only obvious wear and tear is on the bass drum hoop where the pedal attaches. In addition the only issue with the kit is that one of the bass drum hoops split about 6 years ago but was professionally seamed and glued back together, no issues at all since.
