Epiphone Emperor Regent 2005 Vintage Sunburst

This is a beautiful Epiphone Emperor Regent, manufactured in August 2005 at the Saein Plant in Korea, in excellent condition. The was a reissue of one of their '40's era classics, but has been out of production since 2012. One of the largest jazz-boxes ever produced, the 17" lower bout gives it a big, full-range jazz tone. It has a laminate spruce top, with laminate maple back and sides, finished in a high gloss antique sunburst. The maple set-neck has a bound rosewood fretboard adorned with block and triangle pearloid / abalone inlays. It has a rosewood floating bridge and Epiphone's Frequensator trapeze tailpiece. It has gold hardware and a floating OBL mini humbucker pickup. I am not the original owner of this guitar, but to my knowledge, all parts are the originals.

I purchased this guitar used in 2011 after I saw it hanging in a store window. Liked it quite a bit from the first time I played it, but truly came to love her after a professional set up. Plays easy and clean, with a very comfortable C-profile neck. Sounds great with low amplification and a touch of reverb. I'm really more of a solid body player when electric, so this guitar doesn't get the playing time it deserves. Time to pass her on.
