I acquired this Kramer Servant, "body only" (painted the way it appears in the photo's) from a on-line site, did some research, bought the parts needed to do the build...and the assembly process began. The neck was custom made for me according to my wish list, by Butala Custom Guitars...be sure to see the spec's below for a full listing of the parts I used.
The body of this model is incredibly thin and has a arch contour top with very rounded edges....very much like a Showster. It also sports a Input Jack that resemble those used on Fender Strats, on the back of this guitar....I personally don't like it there, but that's how they came from the factory. This is a parts guitar, built for a player to play on, and not in the least period correct.
Works and plays fine, the only issue is that it has a intermittent ground problem related to the input jack, wiggle the cord and it goes away........an easy fix, but haven't had the time to fix it, so its new owner will have to address this issue. Other than that, its in very good condition, better components then many guitars in this price point. Was thinking about parting this out, and probably make out pretty well, but that is something I cant bring myself to do, this is a cool guitar for a player, was a difficult build but really liked how it turned out.
It does come with a "Kramer" hard shell case, also in very good condition.
