Excellent full-conservatory intermediate oboe for sale! Linton Lintone ZRL

Looking for the perfect oboe to upgrade your student this Christmas?  We are pleased to offer for sale this excellent intermediate oboe. It is a Lintone model, made by Linton, a long-time American maker of oboes and bassoons. There is some faint writing on the hard case. Very little wear at all to the body or keys, pads are not new, but this was just through the shop, adjusted, and pronounced to be in excellent playing condition, but know that oboes tend to need minor adjustments after shipping--especially in cold weather.  Best of all, it has full-conservatory keywork, with Left-F, banana key, split-ring D, trills keys, etc. (If you’re new to this, that basically means it’s got a ton more keys than the one you were about to rent, so your student can play more notes more ways.) A Peter Hurd strong recommendation: "'ZRL' (made in USA) FULL Conservatory system, professional model oboe. The "ZRL" in plastic is in my estimation far superior to the usual Buffet, Yamaha, Selmer intermediate oboes. The sound of the plastic ZRL is rather bright, though not overly so. The wood ZRL has element of bright and dark. The engineering of the keywork is not on a par with say Fox, though it is for sure functional, and good ergonomically. ZRL is an excellent value on the second hand market." A great horn as a backup to your professional--for an entry-level oboe that you won’t need to upgrade in the near future—and at about the same cost as a year’s rental!
