This is a MINT Conn 88H-SGX trombone. What an amazing instrument. Using the design of the legendary 88H, and adding a solid silver bell with gold trim, Conn managed to come up with one of the best playing and best looking trombones of all time. The solid sterling silver bell really darkens the tone quality, and in my experience, makes the instrument more 'efficient'--that is more of what you put into it comes out as sound-less is lost in the vibration of the bell. This instrument is perfect. Ostensibly a demo model, I see no sign that this instrument has ever been played. Pics tell the rest of the story!
