I built a beautiful hardwood body for my PolySix. Now I would like to make one for you. This one will be in oak. The pictures are from one I madey and are very representative of what yours will look like.  Some owners have a preference of something a little lighter rather than trying to replicate the color of the original PolySix. If that's you, here's your chance to really beautify your synth. (the last two pics are walnut just to display what a PolySix looks like in one of my hardwood bodies)

The sides and front rail are crafted out of solid oak. The bottom panel is made out of quality maple plywood (no particle board or utility grade plywood here). After staining, the finish will be multiple coats of  Polyurethane with a delicate fine sanding between coats.
Other than the internal battery that would often leak and destroy a Polysix, a common complaint of owners was the cheap particle board body that banged up and crumbled easily.   Likely, yours is suffering that problem. Then maybe this is just what you need to make your rare Polysix look better than factory new.   Not only will this upgrade increase your pride in your great sounding analog synth, but it will also increase it's resale value.

RF shielding will be installed in the same size and area as it currently is in your original Polysix case.  The bottom is painted black. Furniture nut inserts come pre-installed. All you have to do is transfer your existing keyboard, circuit boards, bender unit, power supply, rubber feet and use your existing screws. I'll include a sheet of all the metric screw sizes in case you are missing a few and need to pick some up from the hardware store.
Instead of staples and glue, I chose to attach the finished end caps with wood screws from the inside. That way if you should ever bang one up, you could get a hold of me, and I can make you a new end cap vs. needing a whole new chassis.

Testimonials:

Just transferred the electronics to the chassis that you built and I must say this piece is a work of art. Everything fit perfectly and It looks like it should have back in 1980. It is well worth the money. Taking my time it took me about an hour. I took some photos before I disassembled for reference and I didn't even need them because everything fit like the original. Your effort is 100 percent better than Korg's laminated press wood board and looks to match. Thanks, D.H

Great job on the case! I'm a happy customer and my PolySix will be happy too!!! - F.W.

I've also made hardwood end panels for the Kawai SX-240 and chassis for the Korg Mono/Poly and here are some testimonials on those:
"It arrived safely and I appreciate having my Mono/Poly looking like an 11/10 better than it did from the factory."- M.N

"
Just got the appropriate hardware to get everything back into place and put it together. They came out great! Thanks. I took a couple pics I will send them later. So happy. Thank you!"  - M.B.

"Wood Side panels for Kawai SX240 EXACTLY as described, packed well, Quick Ship!" - R.P.

This one is built and I can ship immediately, so no long waits for these! (International shipping is possible...please contact me first)
