Beautiful vintage Iida 5 string banjo, Model 231-MO 4328. As best I've been able to tell the instrument was made in 1970. I got this from a posting saying that the letter immediately following the model A - V designates the year starting with A = 1958 and so on, but I have no definitive proof of this.
It was a Christmas gift to me in 1985 and shortly thereafter I tore up my left wrist in a motorcycle wreck. It's been setting in my closet ever since and time to admit I'll never play it again.
The instrument
itself is in very good shape if not mint. It could use a good cleaning for dust
in the hard to reach areas. The case has some separation of cloth only on both sides as shown
in pictures.
I will deliver for free in the Phoenix Metro area and up to 150 miles for $30. I will get a good estimate for USPS shipping and update this listing.
