The PBB Paul Beard bass is a unique offering that exemplifies Gold Tone's Folkternative design philosophy. Seeking to offer the bassist something no other instrument maker dared to approach, Gold Tone president Wayne Rogers came up with a great alternative instrument for the bass player that's searching for a new voice. Renowned resophonic instrument guru Paul Beard supplies the resonator cone and spider bridge (the same components used in his multi-thousand-dollar hand-built guitars) and every PBB is set up in Florida for the best sound and playing comfort possible. The maple neck has a comfortable 32" scale and a rosewood fretboard that's bound in white celluloid. The all-mahogany body is similarly bound and all hardware is chrome-plated. The PBB is equipped with a custom humbucking pickup with volume and tone controls onboard. Includes hard shell case.
