Kramer "The Duke" DeLuxe headless bass made from the early eighties to the mid eighties in the USA and was the very last Kramer model with an aluminium neck. This is the Deluxe model with Schaller "double J" pickups instead of a single humbucker on the Standard model; with volume and tone controls plus three-way micro switch for series/parallel/phase - only on this model
The body is wooden and the neck is aluminium and wood with a 24 fret Ebanol fingerboard. This was a substance similar to ebony but man made and used on Kramer aluminium necked guitars and basses. There is also a rubberised "skid" pad to stop the bass slipping when sittin down to play. The tuners at the bottom are the excellent Schallers and the bridge is a fully adjustable Kramer model.
Apart from a couple of lacquer checks on the neck this bass is in a very good condition - the best example I have come across - and its a rare, collectable and very useable bass.
