The listing is for a Gibson patent number pickup. This pickup functions perfectly and sounds great reads 8.55k on my meter, but has had some work done to it:
-mounting holes were enlarged on original base. Brass screws were soldered onto it to hold standard humbucker mounting screws.
-pickup has been rewound and the bobbins replaced with newer black bobbins. (they do not have vintage spec markings)
-newer, vintage spec braided lead wire
-original base plate retains patent number sticker, original Nickle pole pieces, original magnet, seems to be original black tape rewrapped around bobbins.
This work was not done by me or in the time I've owned it; this is not a completely original patent number/PAF pickup. Please look at all photos and ask questions if you have any.
