About This Listing

This Berumen guitar was handmade in the USA, in a true one man/ Luthier shop. Many parts such as the backplates, covers and copper top are handmade using original design elements and implementation. Berumen has designed his guitars to be highly functional works of art. Each one unique unto itself. This particular guitar is capable of a wide range of tones, using just a single PAF style pickup hand-wound by Wolfetone, a push-push volume pot for coil-splitting, a tone pot and output jack.

With the bridge pickup tapped you can get some shimmering Strat-like single-coil tone without any harsh or shrillness. This guitar sustains forever, with an acoustic-like bloom to each note that not many instruments of this style have.

Neck construction, scarf joint, double headstock veneers, mortice and tenon joint, chambered body, glues, thin oil/varnish finish….these are all things that contribute to the tone of a Berumen guitar. A very open and resonant tone.
While this model's body shape may look like an SG, it will more likely appeal to the player who plays Les Paul style instruments, with its extra heft/weight. The copper top is truly stunning to behold in person. The guitar has some small scuffs to the body but has been well cared for. Plenty of fret life left. The strings are nice and low with an action at the 12th fret of 3 & 1/2 64th's at the high E and 4 64th's at the low E.
