Description

Needless to say, electric guitar tone is defined by many components, such as a guitar itself, an amp, a cabinet with speakers and a mic. The new AMT Electronics CP-100 Pangaea can emulate the sound of any miked guitar cab, whose Impulse Responses (IRs) are free or commercially available on the Internet and can be easily loaded to the Pangaea via USB.

The Pangaea's THRU output allows to connect an amp to a real cabinet – the signal from the amp can be attenuated, processed by the Pangaea and connected to a mixer console, audio interface or PA system – save precious time on setting mics. A cabinet can even be excluded from the setup by loading a tube amp on a loadbox or by using an external preamp or amp's internal preamp.

IMPORTANT NOTES!

• A tube guitar amp MUST be loaded on a cabinet w/ speakers or loadbox. There is no internal load in the CP-100 Pangaea
• In case the CP-100 is connected to a microphone/balanced input of a mixer console, make sure that phantom power is off. Phantom power may result in a damage to the CP-100's output capacitors

Connecting the CP-100 Pangaea to a computer does not require any additional software: the device is recognized by a computer as the "PANGAEA_MINI" USB flash drive. Loaded IRs can be tweaked by adjusting their VOLUME level, EQ and early reflections amount (FX ROOM).

The CP-100 Pangaea also allows to connect your portable media device (MP3 player) via AUX IN and play along with your favorite songs or backing tracks using headphones or a PA system!
