100% AUTHENTIC ORIGINAL GERMAN MADE for Fender Japan during the best years of Fender history.  Even though the company was going through turmoil caused by the former owners "CBS" Who sold to Bill Shultz who was taken from the Fender Yamaha division of CBS and placed as the go between Fujigen and CBS and made the deal of assembling the first guitars which were the Squier Fender Japan Stratocaster.  If anyone ever tells you there is a USA Squier don't believe it. Never was. Research is a wonderful thing.  Anyway as CBS financial situation as well as the inflation of the US got worse, workers were laid off and business was put entirely into the hands of Mr. Shultz and Fender Japan.  Still having contracts with other major name companies like Schaller they were put to work making the First the Fender System One bridge.  Schaller spared no expense on this Tremolo system and CBS threw a hail mary to save the company figuring on the Heavy Metal music that was hot on the market and building a guitar that would answer the call.  Fujigen then taking US plugs and making different configurations coined the Super Strat and the Strat plus mixing Humbuckers with single coil pickups and adding a wide mouth cavity to except the new Fender system One bridge on sale here after 30 years exactly since 1984 and ran till 1987, two years after CBS sale to Shultz and two other CBS executives selling for 13M. The Fender System One bridge contained 67 parts.  The top plate was solid Chrome 3/8's thick, harboring 6 chrome fine tuners, six adjustable saddles only for intonation. To heighten the strings you would use the two side posts anchored into the body not included in this sale and will be added free upon request.  The 6 adjustable Intonation screws would bring the 6 saddles back and forth for intonation. there are fine lines on the top bridge plate where the saddles sit, hard to see and not every top plate has them. Along with 6 rollers attached to the saddles so the strings would roll over them as not to stretch the strings causing loss of sustain, sound and string life do to breakage.  The rollers are pivoted on chives that go through the saddles. Under the top plate under the fine tuners are 6 tongues that push the string tension or loosen it after the strings are tuned and locked with the included Locking Nut which has 14 parts.  6 plates, upper and lower.  The upper plates are very important and easy to loose when taking the plates apart. I put a tiny spot of crazy glue on the upper inside of the locking plate housing and then the fine thin top plate in causing them to be glued in so they don't get lost.  There is no reason for the top plates ever to come out.  The three bottom plates are thickter and sandwich the strings when tighten by the three allen screws that sit on on top of the housing which comes in two colors.  Solid Chrome or Black over Brass.  The four small screws are long enough to tighten the Locking nut down.  The Sustain made between the locking nut and the ball end of the strings which travel through the top of the ball and into the Solid Zinc/Nickel alloy block which acts as a great intonator and electrolisis from the magnetism caused by the rocking friction of the bridge and string vibration not to mention EMF, Electric magnetic Force caused by the pickups and wiring. There is allot of magnetic static and magnetism around these area's and the Zinc block helps draw some of that away causing a much longer metal life of the bridge.  I guess it works after 30 years these bridges after getting a little maintenance will last another 100 years. There isn't a bridge on the market that looks and works as well as the Schaller engineered Fender System One Bridge and Tremolo System.   The copper six fingered Spring under the tongues push and release the tongues for fine tuning.  The 7 piece Bar Socket is another enginious Schaller invention using a hard steel barrel to be the recepter for a hard steel threaded Bar Insert with two size threads, one to screw into the Barrel which also holds a C clip that retains a small chrome BB type ball that locks in the bottom part of the solid Chrome Bar included. The top side of the insert has a larger thread that a Chrome plated brass collar screws onto that also houses a specially made Nylon Ferrule that closes around the bar tightening it so it doesn't rotate freely. The holes in the collar are for a small hook like wrench not included to tighten the collar locking the Ferrule.  Using parts made to compensate is a bad move as they will only cause wear and tare on the existing parts and cause corrosion. When all the original authentic parts expensive as they are to get because of the rare and fast growing collectable value of these bridges intact. Some think it's a great way to make extra money and it is.  But using the wrong size Bar wheter Stainless or quick rusting cold roll steel or Orings that will quickly melt under the vast friction of the rotating and pull of the bar melting and corroding the inside of the Bar socket.  Will only bring a greater expense when these parts are needed.  So totaling up all the parts including the 5 spring Claw made especially for the System one Bridge. No other Claw should be used as the width and thickness of the spring claw adds to the vibrating sound going through the solid woods of the guitar giving those bell like long sustaining Strat sounds we all love.  The springs are put on three in a fan type formation to equally dispense the rocking motion of the bridge.  Tightening and loosening the springs will determine the height the whammy effect of the floatation of the bridge used in vibrato and dive bombing.  So there you have it. A complete conjecture of the in and outs of the famous and collectable Fender System One Tremolo System.  This one is refurbished fully with all parts checked repaired or replaced. And is in pristine mint condition with all rollers rolling as they should and all parts working as Schaller Germany intended them to.  Shipping will be medium box USPS Priority Mail  rock on.
