This is an amazing guitar and replica of a Martin D-18 from the “pre-war” era. I’ll add below a description from Pre War Guitar Co site for full details. This guitar includes a custom fit Calton Case (a $1200 value) and a K&K Pure Mini passive pickup (the best in the business!) so no major alterations have been done to this guitar, no undersaddle pickups so the time acoustic is amazing! The K&K was installed by Pre War Guitar Co at the time of the build.
From what I could measure, the action appears to be: (at the 12th fret)
Low E: 7/64 or 0.1094 in
High E: 5/64 or 0.0781 in
Medium action, set up with the current gauge of strings:
13-17-25w-34-44-56
They “age” all of their guitars and that is part of what gives them such amazing sound close to the actual pre war models! It’s science! This is a distress level 1, but I would call it a 1.25, which has the finish checked to relieve tension on the top and a few pick marks, and a few nicks here and there. All of these came from Pre War Guitar Co like this, and it looks like a very well aged “pre war” guitar that’s been played a little but very well taken care of. Pretty much “closet” quality. Their current build time is 14-16 months!!! This model guitar from them new would be $6,395 so get this at a great deal without the wait!!

We utilize hot hide glue for all of the bracing as well as in our perfectly fit traditional dovetail neck joints. We use Torrefied tops and hand carved Torrefied brace wood for their dry-aged tone. What you get is a guitar with the soul, sound, and look of a well-loved vintage instrument, but with the price, adjust-ability, and reliability of a modern guitar.
