Aww yeah, I do remember the first time I saw one of these guitars.
Yep, it was on the cover of the greatest album cover known to man, Kiss "Alive" and I know what your thinking; Lee's going down the rabbit hole again, right?

Well, you would once again be correct. I know, I could talk about the inception of this guitar or how Ray Dietrich, that famed industrial designer whose work had already produced four-wheeled works of art for Lincoln, Ford, Packard and Studebaker designed this mystical instrument.

But why? What the modern media has taught us is that titillation is a revelation. Sizzle sells guitars (and albums) and that's what Kiss knew all to well. Not saying this guitar will not deliver, 'cause we both know it will. No, this guitar is for the image conscience musician and every time I see one, I think back to a much simpler time when I was a kid, gawking at the cover of that Kiss album. Vividly, I recall this moment; It was at that time in my life when I realized both the value of dreaming and the power of visualization. 'Kinda like the first time you saw a woman naked that wasn't your sister. Your hairs stood up (amongst other things) and you literally felt alive.

A bizarre analogy I know, but isn't being on a stage that way? If you have forgotten, then that's we do here at the Elk: we remind you. Hey, it's just one life, remember? Live it out loud and that's what we do, because it reminds Ray and I that we can still be young, if only for a moment.

P.S.

This guitar is in excellent condition, but the strip on the back of the guitar has been refinished. Now, it was expertly done, but I wanted to mention this. The solder and pots are original and of course everything else is as well.

This is a lot of bang for not much cake and it's here at the 'elk...
