Altamira guitars are crafted by a highly skilled
team luthiers, led by owner/luthier Hanson Yao who was an apprentice of the
famed Rodriguez workshop in Spain. Altamira's Gypsy models are built using old
world methods. Altamira guitars have become some of the best selling instruments, finding their way into the hands of numerous professionals who have
found them up to the task of high level performing and recording. The tone and
projection of these instruments rivals some of the best handmade instruments (based on description from Djangobooks.com).
I purchased this guitar used. Originally sold by Djangoguitars.com (2013). The guitar has a little discoloration from the sweat of my arm over the years of playing, which can be seen in photos of its top. In most lighting conditions it's barely noticeable. When played, the discoloration is hidden by the arm. Other than that, the guitar is in great shape. No issues that would in any way effect its playability. It's solid throughout. The guitar is set up with an action of 3.0mm-low E 12th fret/ 2.8mm high E. The guitar comes with a Gator case sand 3 bridges (including a Dupont bridge) shown in photos.
