Note about front face angle:
To ensure the proper fit of your chassis / cab it is important to match the front face angle. While there's no universally accepted standard 65° is the most common face angle for authentic / vintage Fender amps and cabs. Be careful to accurately measure and specify the angle you need. Let us know if you need help measuring an existing cabinet.
Adding knockouts:
• Unless specified otherwise it is assumed this style chassis will mount open side up with a standard layout with the input jack(s) on the left as viewed from the front in the final mounted configuration. The mounting orientation and layout must be specified in order to ensure proper knockout location.
• When adding an IEC inlet or Heyco power entry please specify the desired location from chassis edge to the center of the knockout. Unless otherwise specified the power entry will be centered on the height of the rear panel. Make sure to consider the cabinet's rear panel when locating an IEC to ensure it doesn't interfere. Our Heyco knockout is sized to provide a tight grip on 18-3 power cords and has flatted sides to prevent the power cord from spinning. It may be located on the chassis bottom surface as was common in the Brown era.
• We are setup to make knockouts for most common vintage drop-through transformers ranging from the Fender Champ to the Ampeg SVT. Please specify your transformer size by providing the mounting bolt hole center to center dimensions. You will need to specify your desired transformer location from the chassis edges to the center of the knockout. Remember to also specify your desired Tx mounting orientation: long to long (LL) or long to short (LS). LL means the long dimension of the transformer runs parallel to the long dimension of the chassis.
Mounting Hardware:
When adding mounting hardware a custom drill guide template will be included. This template is intended to simplify the process of transferring the chassis mounting holes to your cabinet to ensure proper alignment. When ordering multiple identical chassis at the same time all mounting hardware will be installed using a single template ensuring that your chassis and cabinets will fit interchangeably. 8-32 rivet nuts are our default mounting hardware for this style chassis. We can space them to work with commonly available chassis straps.
Feel free to inquire about a custom laser engraved faceplate.
Current estimated lead time: 3-5 weeks.
